Workshops run in local language using your Society's own accounts. Certification follows, and mentoring continues for three months.

Self-paced modules

Module 1

Finance fundamentals

The prerequisite for everything else. Ledgers, funds, restricted income and the trial balance.

Module 2

Controls and compliance

Segregation of duties, approval thresholds, procurement and fraud response.

Module 3

Reporting and analysis

Donor reporting, management accounts and the month-end close.

Module 4

Finance leadership

Board reporting, risk appetite, and the finance director's relationship with governance.

Certification and the pathway

Module one is a prerequisite. The other three can be taken in any order. Each ends with an assessment, and passing it certifies the participant against that module.

Certification is not the point on its own. What changes practice is the three months of mentoring that follow a workshop, run by the specialist who delivered it, using the Society's own accounts rather than a worked example from elsewhere.
