Who controls your data

The Norwegian Red Cross is the data controller for personal data processed by the Finance Development Centre, and is established in Norway. Processing is carried out under the EU General Data Protection Regulation as implemented in Norwegian law.

What the Centre collects, and why

Support requests. The request form collects your name, role, email, National Society, country and the description of your need. The lawful basis is the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, and the legitimate interest of the Centre and the requesting Society in arranging support. Submissions are processed through Kobo.

Newsletter. Your email address only, on consent, which you can withdraw from any briefing.

Network membership. Name, Society and email, shared with your regional group on the consent you give at signup.

Analytics. Only where you consent to performance or analytics cookies. Nothing beyond necessary cookies fires before you choose. The dashboard's own analytics are aggregate and carry no personal data.

Who sees it

Support requests are read by the Centre's triage team and the specialist covering your region. A request is shared with an IFRC regional office only where you consent to that in the form.

The Centre runs on the Norwegian Red Cross's corporate systems. Personal data is processed within those systems and their sub-processors under the host's data processing agreements.

How long it is kept

Request records are retained for the life of the engagement plus the period the Centre's own audit and accountability obligations require. Newsletter and network records are kept until you withdraw.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@fdcenter.org. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
