Start a request

A short form: who you are, which National Society you are requesting for, and what you need. It is hosted on the IFRC's own Kobo server and submits straight to the Centre's triage team.

What happens to what you write

Who reads it. The triage team at the Centre, and the specialist covering your region. The form asks you to confirm that it may also be shared with the relevant IFRC and ICRC personnel evaluating it, which is how duplicated work is avoided. It is not shared with a donor or a Partner National Society, and nothing you write is published.

Where it is held. On the IFRC's Kobo server, and in the Centre's request register, operated by the Norwegian Red Cross as host.

How long it is kept. For the life of the engagement, plus the period the Centre's own audit and accountability obligations require. The privacy policy sets out your rights over it.

What this will cost you

Most National Societies pay nothing for standard service delivery.

Prioritised: NSIF and lower-income countries. Fully subsidised through the core budget
Other lower-income Societies meeting vulnerability and demand criteria. Fully subsidised, subject to annual funding and capacity
Middle-income. Approximately 40%
High-income. Approximately 80%

What happens next

The triage team and the specialist covering your region read the request. You hear back within the published triage window, and a scheduled request starts with a pre-engagement assessment and an engagement letter. No adviser travels before that letter is signed.
